About Jim P. Spencer
Jim was born and raised in
Florence and failed at growing up. He enlisted in the US Air Force in
1965 and retired in 1986. Along the way he went to college where he
learned about important things—like abnormal psychology, f-stops and
beer pong. He lived in different cities and cultures where he interacted
with some extraordinary people. He experienced life to the upper limits
until a heart attack slowed him down in 2000. Five years later he
evolved into writing seriously. Today, he’s come full circle with his
wife who has been at his side since 1967. He’s won a few insignificant
and easily forgotten awards. Writing and photography are his calling and
both will undoubtedly drive him insane someday. He is a published
author of two books in The Seven Knights series. Jim writes to
entertain. The success of his first book, Red, White and Black Lies,
led to his writing the second book, Family Lies and his soon to be
released epic fantasy, Swords and Tomes.

Practitioners is a majority women-owned entity and all of the
practitioners come from diverse walks of life, culturally and
geographically. They are a group of professionals and best of all, a
group of long-time friends. Combined, the Practitioners have decades of

and agriculture. They are Jills and Jacks of many trades; but they share
a common bond, beer.
