One of the hippest and coolest places in Northampton Massachusetts is a small, 2000 square foot brewery named Brew Practitioners. Open for just over 2 months, this small brewery has been the talk of the town. Not only do they make and serve their own "Small Batch" beer (a modest 3BBL system), they are housed in a 150 year old building which has been referred to as "Industrial Sheek".

WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS CHRISTMAS IN JEOPARDY. SANTA CLAUS JOINS BREW PRACTITIONER MUG CLUB.

Northampton Massachusetts, December 11, 2015  Brew Practitioners Brewery and Taproom, located in Florence Massachusetts, announced Friday that this holiday season could be comprised as a result of Santa Claus joining the highly regarded "Mug Club".   Joe Eckerle, Head Brewer at Brew Practitioners stated, "Santa Claus has been a regular customer of ours since our doors opened on October 10, 2015. Mr. Claus has been highly complimentary of all our awesome beers on tap but the Brown Ale has been one of his favorites. Who can blame him? The malty, sweet  flavor of this beer is just the thing to enjoy after a full day of making toys."

However, it has been noted that since joining the Brew Practitioners Mug Club, Santa has been spending a lot of time at Florence's newest Brewery. There has been a noticeable drop in production at the north pole and many of Santa's Elves have commented on how Santa is sleeping in more often. Sometimes until 11 am. 

This reporter was able to get a quote from Santa and when asked about the future state of this holiday season Santa stated, "There is no need to worry about this holiday season. Yes, I have spent an extraordinary amount of time at Brew Practitioners but who can blame me? I mean $100 for a yearly mug club membership? I get 25 ounces of beer for the price of a pint and I get a fancy new Brew Practitioners T-shirt? PLUS an awesome mug that belongs to just me and the Brewery keeps it here for me! Unfortunately, Brew Practitioners only has 48 memberships available. Otherwise, I would lay off all of my Elves and fill my sleigh with mugs for Christmas!"

We will keep Western Massachusetts posted on future delopements but I have to say, Santa Claus does have great taste in beer and a great eye for superior customer service and an awesome venue!

Ale Aboard Brewery Tours is a Beer Lovers DREAM!!

Ale Aboard Brewery Tours in Northampton Massachusetts is experiencing great success. Our tour bus hold 14 passengers. You can buy individual tickets or book the whole bus and you ride for FREE!  Tickets are $40 per person.

We will meet at Florence's newest brewery Brew Practitioners . Feel free to enjoy a pint of our great beer while we assemble the troops and then we load up on our 14 passenger bus for 3 hours of fun.

Our First Stop will be the Historic Mill 180 building in Easthampton where we will visit New City Brewery . Be prepared to be blown away by the old world charm of their restored space. Brick abounds and you can only image what the huge crane overhead was used for over 100 years ago.

Just a few hundred yards through the parking lot we will travel to the historic Brickyard Building and Abandoned Building Brewery where you will enjoy a pint just as our forefathers did. In an industrial setting surrounded by brownstones and plank wood floors.

Next we will visit the impressive Fort Hill Brewery  set in the beautiful countryside of Easthampton. This will be the biggest brewery on the tour. Stainless steel abounds in this facility and if we are lucky enough, the Brewer may be able to fit in a tour.  Also look out for live music and fun to be had by all!

Finally, we head back to Brew Practitioners  Located in the historic Sewing Building in Florence. Come in and sample a beer produced by the smallest brewery on the tour. Enjoy the outside courtyard in the summer and see our high tech, 3BBL brewing system.

The holidays are right around the corner and Brew Practitioners Brewery & Taproom is proud to announce that it is available for your holiday party.

Be the talk of the family, office or town as you schedule our brewery for your get together. You will pick any Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday in December to invite your 20+ guests. Brew Practitioners can help you plan the food and the party and of course we will have plenty of beer for you and your guests.

Our 150 year old industrial setting venue is FREE as long as you have between 20 and 49 (beer drinking) guests. We can run a "Beer Tab" for you if you would like or offer a "Cash Bar" situation. We can give your guests a holiday tour of our facility, play holiday music for you and hell, we can even have the Brewer dress like Santa if you would like! We are kid friendly too.

Patio Pints at Brew Practitioners in Florence Massachusetts.....imagine this:

You are sitting comfortably on the Brew Practitioners patio with a cool pint of beer in hand. The warm November breeze is rustling the tree branches and a faint sound of music dances out from somewhere deep within the brewery, past the chandeliers and onto the patio. As you nestle into your relaxed state, you raise your chosen pint to your lips and take in a swallow, letting the crisp balance of malt and hops rest for just a moment on your taste buds before it glides down your throat. You take a deep breath as that perfect brew glides down your throat before resting in your belly. As your taste buds beckon for another sip, you think to yourself... what a beautiful night; dang that is a good beer.

Brew Practitioners Brewery & Taproom makes a great First Impression at first Brew Fest.

Brew Practitioners Brewery & Taproom located in Florence / Northampton Massachusetts made their first brew festival appearance this past weekend at the Holyoke Canoe Club Beer Festival.  Joebob and Tanzi (pictured) were blown away buy the support of the area's most "Practiced" beer drinkers. Many "Repeat Offenders" came to the Brew Practitioners table and had great things to say about our drinkable, balanced beer. This was a great venue and we recommend that anyone who likes Craft Beer attends next year. We certainly will.  Brew Practitioners served up a 7.0% "Yellow" IPA that was highly sought after and a 4.8% "White" Blonde Ale which is our easiest drinker on the menu.  We definitely went home empty handed as our kegs were killed!

Our old reliable partners at Abandoned Building and Fort Hill have always been open but New City Brewery and Brew Practitioners Brewery & Taproom are also open for tasting and Pints (Brew Practitioners is still waiting on the pouring permit so just free tastings there for now.)

Florence Massachusetts' newest brewery in final stages of Grand Opening

To our loyal followers and future fans of our beer and brewery…..Yes, we keep pushing out our GRAND OPENING.            However, Brew Practitioners, located in Florence Massachusetts, has always been ahead of schedule.  It has even been noted that this is one of the most organized brewery startups in New England.  So organized that we are still waiting on the officials to catch up to us. We are still waiting on the last permit, the pouring permit, so that we can serve that frosty, well balanced beer that we have been touting.   Rest assured, the beer is on track. 3 on tap today and 4 in the fermenter. Mmmmmm.

From “Nano-Brewer” to “Micro-Brewer”

This past weekend Joebob, the head brewer at Brew Practitioners in Florence Massachusetts, was able to do what many home brewers dream of. He was able to brew Barrels at a time instead of gallons at a time (yes, I know, a Barrel is 31 gallons ). What an experience. A little bit nerve racking brewing so much more beer at a time  but in many ways, it is a bit easier because the equipment is so much better. Pumps to move the water and the sweet wort, spray balls to assist in cleaning and a fancy control panel to ensure all temperatures are spot on. But probably the biggest difference that Joebob has noticed is the actual size of the equipment and how much easier things flow through a 1 ½ inch hose or pipe. Things move faster, things don’t get stuck, and your wort goes where you want it to when you want it to and at the correct temperature.

Head Brewer Joebob wanted to make sure to document this experience and not lose sight of a 12 year dream that has come true!!  Now, let get that beer fermented and into kegs so you all can come by and taste our “Labor of love”!
